The last activity we have for this Module EDN418 is, we were asked to produce our own Video Tutorial of 15 minutes time on any particular lesson/Topic using Camtasia studio 6, record, edit and add some of the effects to our video tutorial.
In carrying out this activity I faced a lot of problems because I don’t have ideas or skills on how to go about it and more over our groups were all in different dzongkhags and it was very tough time for us to connect each other. Any way after having lot of discussion through mobile phones, we chat, and mail we have decided to produce video on tessellation from class six mathematic. Then we planned a lesson on it and divided the lesson into parts like 4-5 minutes video by each member.
As a teacher, I think this type of activity is very much useful. It will help motivate students, inform parents, and enhance learning by creating video lessons for viewing any were, on nearly any device.  Camtasia has all the editing tools to create the great video content we need to get the job done. Quickly record our webcam or screen, engage our viewers with a variety of effects, and easily share our videos to anyone, anywhere. It can show our ideas, spread the word, or share our knowledge with a video. From quick video demos to extensive video projects.
Engage Students with Video
It helps to record what's on our computer screen to create powerful video lessons? Narrate as we go then edit our videos by adding effects, green screen, or quizzes. Share with our students to watch on their own devices.
Add Interactivity for Customized Learning
We can add clickable hotspots (link) to deliver a custom experience within our lesson. We can also add a table of contents and search options. Pique students' interest by letting them chooses which topics to watch, at their own pace.

Assess Learning on the Spot

Add quizzes and comprehension questions to our lessons to see how students are learning. Students can take quizzes on their own devices - desktops, laptops, iPads, Android tablets, and most Android smart phones. We’ll receive daily email SCORM results that include an attached spreadsheet for easy review in Excel and more.
To be frank, through this module I really enjoyed doing all the activities which our tutor has assigned to us till date. Nevertheless, through this module I have also learned so many skills where I can apply those skills during our teaching and learning process as well as I can share those skills to my children and colleagues.

As Chinese proverb says, I see I remember, I hear I forget, I do I understand. Before I do this assignment I have little knowledge about ICT. Now after doing the assignments and projects in this particular module.  I have learnt a lot and gained knowledge and skills on ICT.
Education works best when it concentrates on thinking and understanding, rather than rote memorization. It is good to know that the two training colleges came up with the new strategies, which encourages regular and in-service teachers to change their ways of teaching from teacher-centered to child- centered using ICT and has the ever lasting impact on child’s learning.
Lastly I would like to thank my tutor Mr. Chenga Dorji for giving such an interesting and challenging project works and for his proper guidance and support during residential period at Samtse College of Education and throughout this semester. Last but not the least; I would like to thank my group (Tashi Sir, Mrs. Tenzin, Mrs, Sangay and Mrs. Rinchen) for cooperating with me to finish this project successfully.

Reflective Journal on Project I (Quiz)
For this month our tutor asked us to create interactive Flash-based quiz using Wonder share Quiz Creator. As per his guidelines and instructions we were asked to make 20 different questions having minimum of two questions each form 9 different question types and we were asked to add animated images, Flash movies and sound effects to polish and enhance our quiz with comprehensive properties.
This activity was a group project work and it was quite interesting one. Since, it was a group activity; we had difficult time in connecting with our friends.  Any way we tried our best and discussed through we chat, mobile phone, and mail about how to go about the group project. We also came up with different topics and after having a lot of conversations, eventually we have decided to go with the general knowledge quiz. At last we came up with group project quiz on general knowledge incorporating all the components asked by our tutor.
  In doing this activity, I made best use of internet to download the materials which were relevant to our group work. In browsing net I was also enriched with informative information which is to be used in our teaching and learning process. I have learned so many other skills such as inserting different types of equations, adding animated images, Flash movies and sound effects to polish and enhance our quiz.  After having done this group activity, I personally felt that ICT makes our works effective, faster way to perform any kind of task and such type of skills were very much useful while preparing the questions especially for teachers like us. As a saying goes 'slow and steady wins the raise'. At first I had a difficult time in setting nine different question types.  Now, I can say that I am confident enough to use those skills while preparing any types of question papers. I also have shared those skills among my colleagues thinking that it is very important for us.  So I would like to thank my module tutor Mr. Chenga Dorji for giving me this opportunity and for inspiring me in the ICT world.

3rd, Reflective Journal for the month of September (Activities on MS word)






Reflective Journal for the month of September
For this month our tutor asked us to do some activities by using different word processing features to product document. As per his guidelines and the instructions I have performed all the seven activities.
 The activities were as follows:
Ø  Creating  a table
Ø   Making changes for the paragraph, Font, Font size, the text color, choosing caps letters, Save a file as font activity.
Ø   Formatting Paragraphs
Ø  Inserting the shapes and grouping them together
Ø  Inserting the  equations
Ø  Designing award certificate for the best sport person, Designing first page of the newsletters page, Designing birthday invitation card.
Ø  Using mail merge to write a letter.
As a teacher, the activities one to five were very much useful specially while preparing the questions. In carrying out those activities, I have learned so many other skills such as cropping, grouping, inserting different types of equations and so on. Though I have been preparing question papers for more than ten years of my teaching, I hardly used these skills and that’s why I took a lot of time to complete these activities. It was quite difficult for me and at the same time, I really enjoyed doing these activities. Now, I can say that, I am confident enough to use those skills while preparing any types of question papers and I think I have to keep on practicing these skills so that I will use it whenever I make question/test papers. I have also shared those skills among my friends thinking that it is very important for us as teachers.
The sixth activity was also equally important for the teachers because we as a teacher and parent, sometimes we have to design birthday invitation card, newsletter, certificate, and write letters. To be frankly speaking, I do not have skills or knowledge in designing the above activities (birthday invitation card, newsletter, certificate and writing letter using mail merge). These activities were all new for me. Though I have designed invitation cards and certificates for my children but I haven’t used the word processing features like Microsoft publisher. After struggling a lot, I have done these activities and now I think I can design this type of documents without others help within very short time. These activities were entirely new insights for me and I would enthusiastically thank our tutor for assigning essential tasks for us. While performing the above activities, I also faced a lot of problems because I don’t have any ideas or skills on how to go about it but as a saying goes “if there is a wheel, there is a way” I tried my best, I sort help from my friends and at last, I could complete the assigned tasks on time.
Regarding the mail merges (last activity), I have gone through the steps in detail time and again. I also contacted with my DE friends through we chat and mobile but most of them were new for this activity and we have the same problem, at last I requested one of the IT sir to help me in carrying out this particular task. At last with the help of all these support, finally I completed all the activities satisfactory. After having done all these activities, I personally feel that ICT make our works effective and faster way to perform the any kind of task.
To be frank, through this module I really enjoyed doing all the activities which our tutor has assigned to us till date. Moreover, through this module I have learned so many IT skills where I can apply those skills in our daily life during our teaching and learning process as well as I can share those skills to my friends and children.
Lastly, I would ardently thank our tutor for inspiring me in the ICT world.

Finding ten useful educational websites was the 2nd Assignment.  In this assignment we were asked to find out ten useful web sites which are important for teaching and learning. To carry out this activity, I made the best use of internet to brows some of the web sites which are relevant to teaching and learning and I had a taught time in choosing the web site since I was exploring this type of web search for the first time and for me everything seems to be useful, but after having gone many web, I have decided to choose the following web sites:

In  doing this assignment I got a lot of opportunity to explore various useful website that are very beneficial for teaching and learning sessions at schools. We can get any type of materials like videos, teaching materials related to any subject or at any level. Have it not been for this assignment, I would never have learn that there are hundreds of useful materials freely available online. This assignment in particular took me further ahead in my professional development as a teacher and for providing additional educational information to my students. This teacher sites are intended to meet the needs of the teachers especially like me. They have resources or links to resources, lesson plans and other teaching ideas. Using this teacher sites will enhance our own creative teaching methods. I personally feel that integrating ICT tools in our teaching and learning was much more effective and children learned better. I would like to thank my module tutor Mr. Chenga Dorji for giving me this golden opportunity.
